MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A fight between customers led to one of them being fatally shot Saturday at a South Florida Wendy’s, investigators said.
Miami-Dade police said one of the customers fired a gun after the other customer punched a restaurant employee in the face who tried to stop the fight, WPLG reported.
One of the customers then pulled a gun on the 28-year-old man who had just punched the employee, and fired the weapon. The shooter, who police are still searching for, then ran from the restaurant, WBBH reported. A description of the shooter has not been released.
The victim died at the scene. The 20-year-old employee was treated at the scene for his injuries.
